Last thurs's MJ prac was one of the most enjoyable pracs ever. =)

#1 Chionged both junior and senior pracs that day, darn tiring but both choreos were fun and nice!! love them.

#2 Two SPTs put up their SPT showcase as well. nice stuff they've got there. kudos to everyone for their hard work, and i think some of us really improved alot. =)

#3 This is the first time I got a compliment from Pat after being in MJ for almost three years! Got chosen for select group to dance. Stressed max esp when all the zai people are watching you, but it was a great exposure, haha. Simple compliment but it means alot to me, thank you Pat! =) Will continue to work hard and step up.

Everyone's busy with hall dance and I can't wait for 24th Feb to come to witness all the dope choreographies =D JIAYOUU PEOPLE!

you know what, i feel very glad and thankful that i have you as a friend. you don't usually find me, but one thing i've come to realize is you'll always be there for me whenever i'm down. and i can say you are one of the few friends who actually cared enough to ask if i'm alright. i apologize for ignoring your calls, simply because i thought i'd be fine after a while, but despite me rejecting your calls, you insisted i called you back just cos you knew i needed someone to talk to. truly felt apologetic and dumb to have rejected your concern. it may just be a simple call, you would have done the same for any other friend, but still, i'm very touched.

MJ Dance Camp 2011

I love Decembers, especially this year's. idk why but this year many joyous occasions are happening this Dec and I'm totally enjoying myself for being able to spend this holiday season with my loved ones, my friends and family. =)

And of course, the MJ dance camp is here again, this year even more exciting than last year's! =) Am really glad to be able to attend dance camp (final year to be attending as a current member). Although I was down with flu, I know I cannot give this a miss. Also really glad to see this year's camp much more fresh, more fun and engaging as more interesting ideas were being injected. kudos to the committee! =)

Like last year, 8 instructors were invited over the 3D2N camp. New faces we see, a better mix of instructors who specialize in very different genres ranging from street jazz to bboy, many takeaways from the workshops. Another plus point for the camp!

I was damn sad that I could not attend the first 2 workshops because of course reg, and as usual STARS is a freaking screwed up system. Missed carol's reggae and fredy's street jazz! =( sad much..
Nonetheless, Day 1 started out with AnAn's class for me, love the choreo but it was tough! =/ and I blanked out during showcase just cos I slipped on the third step blehhhh. bad start, but okay at least I got the choreo back during the second attempt, and thanks to the lovelies who shouted my name to cheer me on. Night games was so fun esp with amazing groupmates around like my fellow captains in Captain America. So proud of us, loved the enthusiasm from everyone, juniors, seniors, alumni. =) And of course, this enthusiasm during the night games, plus earning the best showcase group for fredy's class, placed our group in first place on the very first day of camp!! WOOHOO.

Day 2 was even more exciting! Three workshops for the day, Michael's popping class, Kate's hiphop and Erwin's lyrical hiphop. Popping was so fun, though still cannot exactly catch the feel of it, I felt it was a very fruitful class, and Michael is dopeeeeeeeeeshit really.

My favourite workshop of all is Kate's class!!! OMGGGGG. She's my new idol, the kind of swag she has is like wahhhh and I really really like her style, really fierce and full of attitude!! I felt I could catch her choreo and feel for the song comfortably fast enough out of all other choreos. AWESOMEZZZ. Best thing, once again, my group earned ourselves the best showcase group for her class! =D

Erwin's class was a more serious class, his style is very much similar to Alex's style, the kind that needs alot of body control, balance, stronger sense of rhythm, technique and of course, the feel. And for once, I find difficulty in catching the beat to the song, very very different from the kind of songs used for lyrical pieces! LOL. it was so bad we had to get him to cue us to enter the song. Nonetheless, it was a new exposure and omggg the kind of accent and emotions he displayed in his moves is dopeeeeeeeeeeeeshit too. Night games was even more exciting too, and it's the highlight for this camp, that is to solve the mystery of "who killed the emperor" through the playing of cluedo. Once again, GREAT JOB to the comm for putting in so much effort to plan and organize this creative game, plus the mega huge puzzle thingy on the floor and props etc, really effort max. Apart from the fact that we had to run around the vicinity to get clues and solve the mystery, I felt the game was really challenging and the station games were creative and fun! =) My fellow Captains were super enthu as usual, and yes, we got all the three answers to the mystery correct and we came up with a really funny storyplot for our skit! hahaha. Really had fun playing with them and we won the night games again!!! wahahaha. and with that, we ended the second day as the champion grp for the camp, bagging away with a hamper! =D

Second day did not just ended like that actually. We planned for a birthday surprise for Apple and it was successful! We bought a cheesecake, decorated with many gummies and M&Ms on top~ Also glad that many of us were there to eat supper and celebrate for him as well. Always love the times when we just hang around for supper and chat, it just like having a meal with a family. <3

Birthday surprise Part 2 took place at his room when some went back hall earlier to decorate his room with lightsticks, while the rest of us continued with supper to hold him back. AND after that, it's QING CHAO PARTY again! hahaha. This time, again, at Van's room. So fun playing Circle of Death and chilling out with the peeps after a good shower, though physically tired, we became mentally high as the night went on (perhaps partly due to the chivas!) but of course, we died the next day.

Day 3 of camp. Felix's b-boy!!!! OMGGGG this is one style I've never tried before and I was so excited to learn those cool basic b-boy steps during the workshop but I tell you, b-boy is NO JOKE. it was damn physically demanding!! Legs just went nuaaaaaaaaaaaa like tofu after workshop. hahaha. but it was a really interesting workshop i feel.

AND THEN, it was lunchtime and we also had a birthday surprise for Aiwei! =D we did this flashmob for her and I bet she was caught off-handed. It was really sweet of JH to plan this thing and I'm glad it worked out too! It's always fun to see birthday surprises work out, and esp when u managed to move the birthday boy/girl to tears! lol. =P

O School Recital 2011

Went to catch O School Recital with MJ peeps... 3rd year and counting! =D

And this year was definitely a not-to-be-missed show cos MJ had about 15 ppl perform at the show! This year it was held at Kallang Theatre, a much better theatre as compared to that of *Scape (the seats are oh so comfy!) but okay I think due to the angle problem, everyone looked so damn tiny and cute on stage. LOL.

Good job to all performers once again. So proud of MJ! =D Epic moment was when all of us gathered outside the theatre to wait for our dancers to come out so that we can hand them the flowers (and of course, take pictures) and the moment they came out of the door, I swear we blew everyone else away with our screamings! Seriously it was a damn epic moment! You know the kind of screamings you make when you welcome your idols at the airport?? YES, THAT KIND OF SCREAMINGS. hahahhaa. I couldn't help but laughed so hard at our own ppl. hahaha. Totally felt the MJ LOVE, time and again <3

Super long day i had today!! started the day with a 3-hr long test for one of my elective modules, totally dried up my brain juice and ended leaving the lecture theatre with a splitting headache, better pray for good results and hopefully the lecturer doesn't deduct my marks for my poor attendance =X had lunch with the cousins and ahyi who happened to pass by NTU, visited my room in hall 9 and yea im so excited to move into hall tmr!!

attended a networking session with the nbs alumni at amara hotel. so glad i went (thanks char for jioing me, i wouldn't have attended alone cos it's so far!) okay not very far but still, wearing biz attire is seriously a chore. really enjoyed chatting with the alumni, it triggered so much thoughts in me. honestly speaking, to be able to do something you love for a lifetime is truly a blessing, and i really hope i can find a job that does something that i enjoy doing. interest comes first, all else is secondary, really. and to be honest, i'm really not interested in competing with others to climb up the corporate ladder, at the end of the day, what truly defines you is not how high a position you're in at work or how much you earn, but rather your character, inner quality and your worth.

this brings me back to my childhood ambition i.e. to become a music composer/singer/sth related to music cos that's really where my interest lies, but as i grow up i was taught and convinced that doing music is undesirable esp in a country like singapore, it's hard to carve out a career in the music industry. this led me into dropping the whole idea of becoming what i initially set out to achieve, and then i started seeking other "goals" in life which i didn't really had much interest in but chose that out of practicality. now, thinking of it, this shouldn't be the way to choose what i want to do for a lifetime. work's definitely gonna be tough, let's face it, but it will be much more fulfilling if it's something you love doing. like what one of the alumni said, "find your niche, build on it and eventually it will bring you to where you want to be".

life's too short to waste time doing things you do not like, and i just wanna be happy and share my happiness with my loved ones. =)

Dancetitude : What We Live For

Dancetitude had been an amazing journey for me, and it's one of the most exciting and challenging part of my life I will never ever forget..
Thinking one year back when I first joined the committee, one of the most important agenda for our very first meeting was Dancetitude. Many stuff we'd discussed then, how we want this to be OUR Dancetitude, to make it the best of our MJ history.. This one year had been a real test for me. Never in my life was I so involved in a CCA, and never did I expected that I had a chance to organize a dance concert, one that truly belonged to us and meant so much to us.

I was organizing my email inbox awhile ago and realized 9 out of 10 of my emails are Dancetitude related. Juggling with Dancetitude pracs, Finance, Ticketing Sales and Professional Attachment was just crazy, SERIOUSLY HOW DID I EVEN DO THAT?!?!

Of course I couldn't have done that without my comm and finance subcomm and everyone else who helped me meet those extremely tight deadlines. You know who you are, truly thankful for that =)

It's amazing how important a role MJ has played in my life.. my fellow MJ dancers I've grown to know and got closer throughout these 2 years, they're just an amazing bunch of people living that same passion for dance, and I'm blessed and absolutely proud to be part of this loving second family of mine. A big thanks for all the love, care and support each of you gave me all this while.

Dancetitude was the fruit and success of our hardwork. This journey thought me so many things and I never ever regret joining MJ and comm. Dance is beginning to play a big part of my life, you dont know how much influence this second family has influenced my life. This is What I Live For. =)

Wanna thank all my friends, esp my family for your understanding for the past few months, having to put up with my busy schedules and I apologise if I didn't had much time to spend with you all, I'll make up to that okay!! =D

Here I am, in my final year of study in NTU, seriously dreading the idea of graduating in less than a year's time, but I make sure I'll make this final year count! Great friends are for life, what more can I ask for? =)

it's 1:35am in the morning and i should be in bed like now cos there's work tmr!!

but pardon me for itching to blog. dont know who ever reads this blog but heck! i need to rant so badly.

i miss my mummy!! and i think she's so pitiful. nowadays i only get to see her like at most 1-2 hours every day cos she's super super super busy with work and F*** that stupid client who is making my mum's life so difficult. (i dont usually use vulgarities but seeing my mum slogging out at work, i can feel that she's really very tired of working) working from 8am till 12am everyday including weekends is no joke. BOOO. hope things will change for the better soon. and now i feel guilty always complaining that work and dance schedule is killing me. i also work from 9am and dance till 11pm almost every night, except that i get to "rest" during weekends. so my situation is SLIGHTLY better.
was so happy when i heard my mum saying that she's gonna take 2 days leave tmr! seriously she NEEDS the break. yknow the feeling just sucks when u know ur loved ones is having a difficult time but u can do NOTHING to make things better.
okay now for the happier things in life.
i'm into the 5th week of internship, how time flies my gosh~ halfway more to go.

oh yeah, learnt even more sick choreos today, totally took away the monday blues. cant wait to learn blocking cos my mind is saturated with choreos!! need to "throw" some away.. haha.

Year 2 Sem 2 Results!

Exam results are out! exceeded my expectations and improved quite abit! accounting alone is horrifying enough, but thank god i did well. and luckily i S/Ued elective cos the paper was a killer. rah. IMA HAPPY AND CONTENTED GIRL. hahaha. =D =D

Oh yeah, into the 3rd week of internship and i feel like dying alr, coping with both internship and dancetitude pracs EVERY SINGLE DAY. plus the amount of choreo learnt in just 1.5 weeks.. am already finding difficulty trying to manage. but for dancetitude, i'm willing to do this. plus im not in the worst position, choreographers are having a much difficult time, and a lot of us are also having internship during this summer break. so let's work really hard for the next 10 weeks and put up a stunning show!

1 week down for PA. how glad i am!!

Having said so, i am honestly very very worried about the next 9 weeks of coping with PA AND Dancetitude. i'm serious. trying to draw out my calendar for the next few 2.5 months... the schedule is freaking me out. D:

plus i haven't been dancing since about 2 months ago. idk how much my body can take this. and this is EXCLUSIVE of PA which starts at 9 and ends at 530 everyday.

Travelling to sch from novena in 1.5hrs is already an issue (considering I can't possibly leave at 530 sharp everyday if work doesn't permit me to),

then what about dinner?
came up with 3 alternatives...
1. work and eat early dinner simultaneously
2. eat discreetly in the train while travelling back to sch (highly impossible considering the evening crowd, plus i dont want to risk being fined!)
3. NO DINNER.

First day of Internship

today marks the start of 10 grueling weeks.. professional attachment!!
and guess what? got the shock of my life on the first day of work. report early to work, having to realize that my manager already left the company without informing anyone that a new intern will be starting work today!! it is THAT drama-mama ok. and then i was told that it's the company's tradition to have meetings every monday morning, so i had to wait for a whole 1 hr for the meeting to end before an exec came to attend to me. it was all too abrupt, luckily things were assigned to me while i wait for the exec, now supervisor, to end ANOTHER meeting so i didn't feel so helpless and useless.

okay that's it for the drama for the day.

things start to get better by lunch.

lunch with supervisor, got my email account, got my access card and learnt a'lil bit more about the company and yes, tmr starts REAL work.

hope things will turn better sooooooon.

omg did i forget to mention that wearing heels is a total torture to women's feet?? seriously im not kidding. literally dragging my feet home and when i couldn't take it anymore, i walked barefooted home from my carpark. hahaha i am NOT going to wear heels ever again to work. if only i was a guy...

General Elections 2011

wow the last post was like more than a month ago. time to clean the 'dust'! haha. shouldn't be posting any entries at this point of time when i still have 4 papers to clear and gosh, i've barely touched on my revision materials. ALL THANKS TO GENERAL ELECTIONS.

honestly speaking, im pretty much amazed at myself for being so attentive to the elections follow-ups, cos i admit i used to be politically apathetic. everytime i see political news on the newspapers, i'll simply glance through the headlines and flip to the other pages to read more interesting news. considering the amount of time i spent reading news on the elections and watching rally videos AND going all the way to nee soon and CCK to watch rallies of the opposition parties live. wow yes that's so not me, but it's not a bad sign afterall.

having not reached the official age to vote this year, whatever stand i take does not count, but here's just my two-cents worth.

this year's elections has generated such a great hype (and perhaps because of this i cant help paying so much attention to it instead of focusing on my revision!) the votes are cast and the results are out. PAP once again won most of the seats in Parliament, though this time round the proportion of opposition parties in Parliament increased as well. it was such a well-fought battle and i believe the results are somewhat expected. i truly applaud for those who stood by all these years to fight for the rights of Singaporeans. they have accurately highlighted the growing problems faced by us Singaporeans as a result of the policies the government have implemented over the years. yes of course no one policy is perfect, but if not for these opposition parties, these issues would not come across as clear that needs to be urgently addressed. they serve as a wake up call, a shout out to the government about the issues that are bugging many locals.

as i watched the election results of each division being announced one by one, many thoughts ran through my mind. what if at the end of the day, no one opposition party gets any seats in the Parliament? (although they'll still be given 9 seats if this really happened) who's gonna be the 'bad guy' and do regular checks on the govt's policies? who's gonna bring the voices of Singaporeans to the Parliament? it's all about democracy.. somehow i felt a sense of relief when Mr Low Thia Khiang and his team won over the Aljunied GRC. he is great, his team is great. however, the game has not ended. in fact, this is just the beginning. the beginning of the 5-year journey to prove their worth, to establish a First-World Parliament. whatever changes the WP has promised to deliver cannot be guaranteed, time will tell.

on the other hand, i truly salute to Mr George Yeo for his positive attitude, his honest comments throughout the election. it was certainly not easy for him to face the defeat, and it was pretty sad that Singapore lost an awesome candidate in Parliament (though we know that he will return to the politics again, SOMEHOW) i felt him, his emotions driving within as he made his speech in front of the public when the results was announced. and that leads me to think about the whole GRC system which is so fundamentally flawed. Yes, the PAP wants to capture the majority of the electoral divisions (that's the whole purpose of implementing this GRC thingy), this is also a way to bring in younger candidates into the Parliament (u know who im referring to). They want to play big, however u make a huge loss when things do not turn out the way it should. it was too huge a bet, to put 3 ministers to fight against the strongest opposition party.

whatever it is, the Parliament is formed. we hope for the very best of Singapore and these leaders to deliver their promise, to work like a First-World Parliament and to bring Singapore to greater heights. (:

It's a thur night and here i am chilling at home, feels so empty cos there's no MJ practice on a thur night..

someone please lock up my fb account, it's seriously a major distraction while attempting to do my revision. zzz.. i need to buck uppppppp real bad. girl, u only have 22 days to exams.

simply can't wait for exams to be over. though there's gonna be PA during hols which kinda suck, there are other things to be happy and excited about like Dancetitude preparations and preparation of bday parties and meetups and shopping and clubbing and attending dance classes the list goes on.. lol.

The week just flew sooooo quickly it's friday in a couple of hours time. I am so gonna work hard tmr.. meeting in the morning, conduct survey in the afternoon, and shopping for bday party decors in the evening with G-Force and angela.

the weather tonight is just great to hibernate on the bed, but hmm..
busy day ahead, time to start mugging for wed's elective test. bye world!

Lotsa things happening these few days. been trying very hard to control my emotions, mainly cos my maid was returning to Indon. Yup perhaps people might think okay so.. she's just a maid. but to me she's not. she is someone very special to me. a friend. very good friend. and even as i'm typing this tears are welling up.. 6 years of working and living together with my family, i simply can't bear to part and i believe she feels exactly the same way too. but of course we respect her reasons which concluded her decision to leave.

This post is specially dedicated to her. =)

Her name is Yati and she's 32 this year. A cheerful and bubbly person. All of us in the family love her, and that includes my relatives =) Always wearing a smile on her face. She's really petite, even shorter than me. hahaha. but she's so cute and funny.

Thank you for all the joy and laughter, peace and joy with me. Thank you for always listening to me rant about my work and a whole lotta random things which has got nothing to do with you, but you never fail to lend me a listening ear. Thank you for always telling me to sleep early, i really wish i could follow your words but sadly my workload doesn't allow me to. Thank you for being a wonderful roommate, i will miss your company and all the random htht sessions we had in our room. Thank you for whipping up sumptuous meals for us all the time. Thank you for being able to put up with my tantrums. Thank you for being such a great help to my grannies and being able to put up with their naggings and sometimes, harsh words, but you and i know we have long treated you as a part of our family already. Thank you for laughing along with us when we teased about your poor English and spelling, and CHINESE! I miss you and your loud voice/laughter. I miss you, friend.

It's hard to type this post, even harder to send her off at the airport today.. Auntie, here's wishing you all the best for the future and a big THANK YOU for everything. You're dearly missed.

Yes, he is the choreographer behind the MV dance choreographies for Taeyang, 2NE1 and many other singers!! Flew all the way from the US, to NY house to conduct class just for MJ. omgggg~ 40 vacancies for the class filled up so fast on the day of registration. how could any dancer ever miss that? I must say he is one of the best dance instructors i've ever met. like what he said...

It's the time of the year again.. CNY! From getting more angbaos, gambling to eating more calories than usual, CNY celebration is a love-hate affair. Basically u just sit there and watch countdown shows on TV, start binging or hold small talks with relatives.. And when u're tired, u find yourself entertainment by moving your arse to the gambling room. haha.

And i actually lao-ed yusheng for like... 6 times this year?! Omg. Does that actually translate to better luck if you lao more? lol. I hope it's true and my wishes better come true.Some camwhoring on the first and second day of cny..

admit it. putting braces is becoming a trend. everyone's putting them on, including my lovely cousins. haha.

Yay we had some atas dinner at Ruan-Mai restaurant (as recommended by many thai locals) on the last night. The food was really awesome, what's more it's freaking cheap! OMG i miss the fish and tom-yum soup and prawns and...everything!

Dance Camp 2011

It's a 1 month holiday filled with MJ. i'm not kidding, but i'm lovin' it. =D

Dance Camp 2011 is here again, this time even more exciting cos i get to interact with the dope instructors!! haha. 2 days of intensive workshops just like last year... For the first day, we had Gin(LA hiphop), Daniel(House), Ahmad(Lyrical Hiphop) and Mazlan(Girl's Hiphop) in the house yo! Also we had An-An(New School Hiphop), Bryan(Waacking) and Pat on the second day! Had trainings on the basics (and i tell u basics are NOT easy at all!) and learnt some awesome choreos =)

And same as previous year, we had 5 groups. this time named after fastfood restaurants instead of teletubbies. LOL. SO we had Subway(green), Macdonalds(red), Long John Silver(blue), Old Chang Kee(yellow) and Taco Bell(purple). haha. Forgot whose idea it was but i thought it's pretty creative XD

Dance Camp ended off with a mass BBQ session. Despite the tedious preparation for the bbq etc, seeing everyone enjoyed themselves made all this worthwhile & i'm sure the rest of the comm felt the same as i do.

Danzation 2011

3 hours ago marked the end of Danzation 2011. I am so honoured to be part of this awesome production, dancing with the countless dope dancers from NRA, MJ and many other dance crews in Singapore. Yes, Danzation staged some of the best dancers in the local scene and I am so proud to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Many thanks to all the choreographers who put in so much effort to piece together a wonderful choreography to the song Use Somebody by Kings of Leon. It's a love-hate relationship with this song. Repeated that song over a million times during all the practices and rehearsals, now i'll just press the skip button whenever the song is played on my ipod. haha.

A unique emo-contemp performance item put up that stood out among other hip hop choreos... When you hear the cheers from the crowd, the feeling's just amazing.. it instantly motivates a dancer to push on and dance even better to the song.

Credit goes to all NRA dancers who worked really hard for this, especially the choreographers. =)

Okay this shall be the first post for the year 2011!! yayness~

2010 flew past in the blink of the eye, i seriously can't believe it. it seems like time is accelerating, it is passing faster after every single year. i wanna rant about how old i feel but i know i shouldn't cos.. i'm only beginning to step into adulthood! lol.

yes this year will be a special year cos many of us will turn 21. speaking of this, i'm getting emotional and all.. reminiscing the past, i think life has been pretty much smooth-sailing. and im thankful for all my friends who've been through both happy and tough times with me. (: yay~

So what's my resolution for 2011?

i wanna LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST.
i wanna work even harder on my academics.
i wanna spend more quality time with my beloveds.
i wanna dance. dance more and dance better. yes, for Dancetitude 2011, i will.
i wanna travel & see the world. yes, krabi here i come.

It's the time of the year again.. CTTS X'mas gathering BUT this year not at my place! Yes we gathered at Yilin's place, and besides the usual gift exchange, this year we had potluck PLUS Wiiiiiiiiiii~~

Had so much fun with chewers. First attempt doing almond tofu dessert and it succeeded and more importantly, CTTS loved it. i'm a happy girl (: haha. Jas's pizza and Angie's spaghetti were awesome too. Had fun 'messing' around in the kitchen. hahaha. It's fun spending the effort to prepare something for your loved ones, just that lil' bit of effort put in to prepare a simple dish & u get happiness, joy, smiles, lots of laughter & love. Priceless.

Wiiiiiii is so fun to play with! hahaha. It's damn good exercise i swear! i'm still having muscleache from playing it. :D

Here we are at the most dreaded part of campus life.... studying for exams. RIGHT.

The more i study, the more emo i get. Cooping up at home whole day to study is so unhealthy, but i'm too lazy to move all my stuff out to mug. Binging on food is another thing, and holy crap i realized i gained some 2kg since i-dont-know-when. OMGGGGGGG~

Must be all the late night suppers that are giving me all the unwanted fats. oh noooooooooo... :/

213 test was a disaster today, though it's only a short 20 MCQ test. the first question already stunned me.. What on earth is an experience survey?! i dont remember seeing this in my notes and textbook :/

so apparently this goes to show that mere revising notes and the text ain't enough for 213 exam.. but what am i supposed to do? do research? To do research on a research module just sounds so dumb.

Drew up my revision schedule, i really really hope i can follow closely to it, considering the fact that my revision plans have always failed since forever.

just can't wait for x'mas to come. meet up with all my good old buddies, gift exchange for x'mas, CTTS play-Wii-the-whole-day gathering, dance, committee Krabi trip in Jan, karaoke sessions with whoever-is-interested.

p.s. pray pray pray hard that FYP will be removed next year! i srsly dont mind taking more UEs in exchange for that.

Music theory exam is over! easier than i'd expected. woots~ so proud i remembered the meaning of 'nicht schnell' - which means 'not fast'... only mistake i knew i made was i gave the wrong meaning to the italian term 'stringendo' - basically means 'getting faster' but i wrote 'getting louder'. lol. oh well~ the rest were doable... ms wong, i'm quite confident i can get a distinction (:

Today is a happy happy day! yknow why?

Cos 214 presentation is over! (Though we still have a final one in week 14) and Jess Ang Mei Ling did well! Not forgetting Jiayi's group (: Yay!

And another reason (the main reason actually) is because it's Thurs aka MJ day (: Double Yay!

MJ never fails to make my day, and I'm so glad I managed to attend both junior and senior classes. Enjoyed both sessions so much, esp junior class cos we learnt a happy choreo to the song DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again by Usher!! So nice and omg the juniors, totally love the enthusiasm from them and i really hope this enthusiasm will last for a long time (: Everyone did great, and we started doing some clubbing moves after the choreo. Totally hilarious! hahaha. The funniest part was when Pat did his solo and showed his super unique clubbing moves and then after that returned to his iPad and started peeling a banana to eat!! That was real entertainment, totally got us LOL!

Oh and not to forget the weekly Choreo Project!! Thumbs up to Daniel, Riana and Cheryl! hahah. Needless to say, they were just awesome~~

After class, all of us helped Darren to fill up a survey for his FYP, and his FYP topic is on hip hop culture! damn cool~ Sort of gave me some ideas on what I can do for my FYP next year (if fyp is STILL applicable to my batch! D: )

As usual, we went to eat supper, this time at Pioneer extension (near city harvest church) instead of the usual Ah Lian @ pioneer station. Supper was much more sumptuous than dinner (mixed veg rice)! Okay so what did we order yesterday? We ordered spaghetti, cheese fries, orh-lua, laksa, sliced fish soup, meatball noodle etc. How much calories does that amount to? oh-my-tian~

Okay...gonna meet weijie later. yay!

ahhh i'm not done with revising music theory and exam is tmr!! okay more italian, german and french terms to memorize. Can i have Mozart/Chopin's brain for a day? Just for a day.. or 3 hours. O.o

MJ CHALET 2010 IS OVER!

OMGawd. This just means recess week is ending soon. Today is Friday already! ahhhh~~

Had so much so much fun at chalet, esp during the highlights of the chalet, juniors showcase and SENIORS BATTLE~~

Somehow i can feel the passion in the juniors, their showcase standard were way above our batch's standard. Coming up with 12 eights and blocking within a day is tough, what's tougher is showcasing in front of so many dope dancers. :D but i must say all of them did very very well and i'm not exaggerating. imagine 1 year from now... everyone's gonna be soooo good and we'll make MJ deeeee club!

Seniors battle is the thing that had been making me so stressed up (kind of relieved it's over! haha.) This year's judges include Pat and our 2 alumni seniors Alex and Rizal! Seriously, battles are not for the faint-hearted. The stress was like 3458792156x that of choreo project!!! Thanks Janice saobao for joining battle with me. Totally enjoyed all the sessions with u at hall 1 studio! Looking back at the video, i thought i could do better.. Yong kai and Apple's version of girl's hiphop really killed us. hahaha. Plus, they looked fiercer just by looking at the size alone. Both of them looked like giants when they stand beside me and Janice. hahaha. Kowtows to them. Memorable experience, let's work hard, level up and join again next year! :D :D

Kind of shocked when Pat was giving comments abt the battle. He said it was really tough being a judge this year cos everyone did equally well, unlike last year's batch where it was easy to decide which team was better. but still, mel and robin's standard... and their chemistry is uncomparable. hahaha! no doubt they are MJ's papa and mama, cos both of them really inspired alot of us.

MJ chalet starts tmr till thurs, and breakfasts are not prepared yet. and dance battle is another 'pain' that keeps looming in my mind, though im not fond of winning cos seriously there's almost no chance of winning it. hahaha. GG... effectively i'm left with 3 days to catch up with work. shucks! totally forgot abt danzation pracs on fri and sat (and my blue-blacks on my knees and elbows look uber ugly!!) AND piano on sun. so what's left for me??

now u know why i'm stressed.

OH-MY-GEE.

I need a break... can't wait for recess week, though i know that 1 week can't provide much time for rest. Already 3 days are taken up for chalet, and more stuff to churn out before and after recess.

Sometimes I think the only time I get to temporarily forget about my workload is when I'm dancing. That's when you put your focus on catching steps and executing them, and trust me, you can't be thinking of homework and project stuff when you're dancing. hahaha.

So glad choreo project is over! At least for the comm. haha. Yay everyone did awesomezzz~~

Okay time to catch sleep and continue churning out more reports tomorrow.

MJ Auditions are finally over! So relieved our comm survived the first 3 weeks filled with many major events. Though I'm a lil' disappointed that the turn up rate wasn't as much as we'd expected, all ran smoothly with little or no glitches at all. Great job to all nannies! True love.

Overrun quite abit yesterday, but most of the freshies who came for the 2nd slot waited patiently outside hall 15 function rm, touched! haha. thanks so much for their patience. It was a long night for them, especially for the groups at the back, but all of them were so hardworking they kept recapping their steps while waiting for their turns to perform for the panel of judges. double touched! :D

Soon, freshies list will be out, and yes our new blood for MJ. So excited to meet them at Thur's class. :)
Oh and I saw this guy who looked uber cool outside function rm ytd. I think I have a thing for guys who wear a left ear stud, carry a crumpler(esp a red one!), and hangs a white headset around his neck. LOL. Did I forget to mention he was holding a motorbike helmet too? Probably he rides one... Sooo cool... Reminds me of my eyecandy back in kranji sec, this senior, 2 classrooms away from mine, who carried a helmet around in school everyday. Sheena and I even named him 'the helmet boy'. haha funny memories... though I diapprove of ppl riding a motorbike, I thought carrying a helmet around just looks so cool. =X

And now, it's really time to focus on studies. I dont know how many times I've said this... Shall work hard starting from tomorrow! I'm so gonna camp at je lib with ang and jas tmr. :)

Went to watch a contemp dance concert with MJ couple of weeks ago. This was probably one of the most BORING dance concert I'd ever watched and I mean it. Or rather this is the first time I didn't enjoy watching a dance concert esp with a group of dance enthusiasts. The theatre seats were half-filled or slightly less, heard sighs from the audience seated behind us, saw people dozing off in their seats. HAHA. Totally felt like lmao in the theatre but it would be totally rude to do so.

Imagine watching one or two dancers pulling masking tapes and taping them on the stage floors and, worse still, doing it continuously for about 6-8 mins on stage... WITH ABSOLUTELY NO BACKGROUND MUSIC AT ALL. That's how bad it was. And there wasn't any execution of dance steps at all throughout the draggy introduction. Everything was just too abstract that it could hardly be understood. Okay perhaps that's how a contemp dance usually is portrayed, but still it could have been simplified for easier interpretation.

The only parts worth watching were probably the items where our seniors Mov and Shunzi performed. haha. I'm seriously not being biased here. Those were really the best 2 items for the night, at least there weren't any awkward silence or weird settings and the stories were probably more easily understood. Anw, great job to both of them :)

3 weeks into Year 2

I think it's been a while since i last posted so i shall dedicate another random entry to my almost-dead blog. haha. well, it's been 3 weeks since sch started OMG~ that's FREAKING FAST... honestly speaking, I can't really recall myself doing tutorials or touching the textbooks for the past 3 weeks. BUT I do attend my lectures, seminars and tutorials ok!! haha. And the first 3 weeks "horror" of dance (which Apple has been warning us about) has not ended yet. First MJ open class will take place tmr, and another on coming thurs... and up next is MJ Auditions!!!! Having mixed feelings now, can't wait to meet the fellow MJs-to-be, on the other hand, I'm afraid I will not be able to handle the big crowd then. Fyi, almost 400 people signed up for the audition, so probably we'll each be handling a group of about 10 ppl, and that's provided we have at least 30-40 seniors helping out to teach the choreo!!

I'm starting to worry about whether I can live up to my resolution for the sem, which is to MUG really hard and pull up my GPA at all cost. Call me a mugger for all I care. Last time if people called me a mugger (probably cos I came from a JC with a mugger reputation, lol) I'd get so pissed off cos I really wasn't a mugger!!! Now, I'd gladly hear people calling me a mugger, haha. cos this means I'm working hard now. seriously can't afford to slack anymore, after smoking through the whole of my freshmen year, and apparently brought me cui results.

SO PLEASE GUYS, MUG WITH ME OK!

Give me the strength to FOCUS.

I hate to admit this, that i'm officially TWENTY. Ahhhhhh~~ this is sooooo not cool, i feel so old!! OMGeee~ See the word 'nineteen' at the left column of this page? Totally dont feel like changing it. hahaha.

Anyway, A BIG BIG THANKS to everyone for your birthday wishes!! FB is really really powerful, i guess this year is probably the year i'd received the most number of birthday wishes. hahaha. My hotmail inbox was totally flooded with FB notifications, hundreds of them. GREAT. Not forgetting those who texted/called me to give their wishes. Replying every single one of them is even more tedious, but I dont mind doing that even if it takes to type the same replies a thousand times over. Now I realized I haven't been catching up with alot of friends whom I used to be very close to. Nonetheless, what's touching is when you know these people actually remember you and bother to send u their wishes on this special day (though it's not difficult to do that). All that u need to know is all of them are doing fine, & I believe they are. :D :D

Celebrated my birthday with my family & relatives @ Raffles Marina (somewhere at Tuas). Just a simple meal with my loved ones + great entertainment = AWESOME TIME! There were no birthday cakes (not a must-have for me anyway), the food, ambience and great company was more than enough. I doubt we can finish the cake anyway cos we were all bloated ttm, and I really felt like puking on the way home in Daddy's car. hahaha.

p.s. I'm really gonna own one of those yachts and park it at raffles marina someday!

Yay First (and counting) MJ family outing organized by the new comm last Saturday! Woots~~

It was really a whole full day spent with MJ. First, we had comm meeting at Suntec Starbucks. We ended on time and proceeded to Suntec Dance Auditions to support our fellow MJians in the 5 teams. Some crazy screamings we had, hahaha. Pat, our instructor, was one of the 3 judges there too. Results were so expected cos some 20 out of 26 teams are able to qualify for the heats, so apparently all of them got in! Congrats to all! :DD

See the movie tickets above? Yes, after that we went Marina Sq to watch Step Up 3!!!!!! AHHHHH~ 39 tickets in total, and Pat was there to watch with us! I think this is my first time watching a movie with such a big bunch of people, ~~shameless~~ people who totally treated the theatre like our own! hahaha. Luckily I made the bookings early, thus the good seats :D

Step Up 3 was great, choreos and all needless to say, except for the story plot. I still prefer Step Up 1 which showcased the combination of ballet and hiphop. Though it was just a movie, watching it with so many dancers...the feeling's just awesome.

SMILE.

It's a beautiful day.

Never underestimate the power of a smile. Sometimes a smile, a grin even from a stranger just makes someone's day. Many a times we get so busy, so preoccupied with work and all, so much so that we forget to smile. Yes, 'forget' is the word. Putting on a smile should be part and parcel of everyone's daily life, more importantly, we put on that smile because we mean it from the bottom of our hearts. A smile that is not forced, not superficial.

Smile, cos it's a form of courtesy. When strangers approach you, the least you can do is reply with a smile, even when you dont feel like entertaining them. Also, putting on a smile makes one appear friendly and thus more approachable. Of course, we can't be smiling all the time, people do have their ups and downs. But all of us should learn to smile, AT THE RIGHT TIMES.

Attended a dance workshop by Alvin de Castro at the Esplanade today. OMG what a wrong timing to attend his class cos my thigh muscles are still hurting from wed's jpt prac. but still we already paid $28 for the class so we must attend! 1.5 hrs of intensive workout, but it was all worth it cos the choreo was just awesome! =D and he teaches at lightning speed, even faster than chris martin! managed to catch most of the steps but didn't do full out cos my thighs really could not take too much pressure and i needed to conserve energy for jpt prac yet again in the later part of the day! Great.

Yup so yesterday marked the end of my vacation job at StarHub. Yes!

Had farewell lunch at The Jack's Place at Anchorpoint with angeline and adeline (their names sound so similar omg!) Awesome lunch we had. i was so glad i didn't cry when i left the office (unlike the last time when i left MOM) otherwise it'll be damn embarrassing, haha. probably cos i worked for a shorter period of time here(as compared to a full 5 months in MOM back then) and didnt felt quite attached to the colleagues here. nonetheless, it was a nice experience working with all, and i particularly enjoyed working with 1 manager cos he's so nice to everyone, regardless whether u're a senior or junior. i rmb once i went to zap a copy of a document and the paper jammed in the photocopier machine. he was nearby and saw me meddling with the machine. he quickly walked forward to see what happened. when i told him the paper got jammed, he quickly opened the machine and removed the jammed paper, and even zapped the document for me. See, this is the kind of manager I'd call a manager worthy of respect. He's just different from the other managers who just command people around and dont give a freakin' damn about the others as long as they get their job done. OH and he speaks with this brilliant Australian accent (though he's not an australian) that sounds so soothing to the ears. AHHHHH~ hahaha.

Right, approached my manager yesterday to tell him i'll be working till next wednesday, and he gave the approval. Yes! contract is supposed to end on 27 aug, but i thought ending it earlier would be good, at least i have ample time to get rest and prepare for the new school term. and oh man 1st week is gonna be hell week i bet, though there'll only be lectures (i hope) and perhaps seminars.

people in my office are just workaholics. some of them are forced to. kind of pity them though cos everyone's rushing for deadline(which is yesterday) to launch a mega huge project. they have been working 24/7 shift for the past 1-2 weeks i guess, and this is not going to end till almost 1 month later. good luck to them. saw my manager walking into the office at like 3pm yesterday, in bermudas and slippers! and his eyes were like bloodshot. few days ago, he gave me $10 and told me to go nearby sheng shiong to buy redbull cos he wants to treat the rest of the colleagues some energy drinks so that they can survive the last lap. this is what i call a good manager. =D

Tioman trip 23 July-25 July 2010

Woohooo~~ I'm back from Tioman! 3 days flew past so quickly. Frankly speaking, I wish I had stayed there for another night, life's just relaxing and great there. Finally had chance to sweat it out under the sun, AND under the moon. hahaha.

Day 1

Long hours of travelling on the bus to Mersing and after that, ferry to Tioman, with long unproductive breaks in between. It was already lunch time when we reached there thus the first activity was, of course, to find FOOD! hahaha. Our first attempt in searching for accomodation failed, so we decided to eat lunch before checking in. Had chicken fried rice for lunch, didn't expect the fried rice to be spicy, plus it was damn hot cos it's freshly cooked from the kitchen, making it even more difficult to swallow the rice.

Managed to find rooms at Berjaya Tioman Suites, so quickly we walked to the bank to make payment. So amazed by the appearance of the bank! hahaha. It looked more like a clinic to me! All 8 of us, desperate for the air-con, packed ourselves in the bank with all our barang-barang. =X

After that, we took the shuttle bus to the lobby to get our room keys and took another shuttle bus to our apartments. And gosh the suites looked really like one of those halls in NTU. hahaha. but of course the rooms are much bigger than hall rooms. Unpacked our stuff and all. Next, we headed to Paya beach resort, thinking that it’s only a short walk from our apartments. Holy crap! It was damn freaking far! Well, we cut through the jungle, and considering the fact that my sneakers really isn’t suitable for trekking makes trekking even tougher. The mud was slippery, almost slipped a couple of times, luckily the guys were there to help out. Of course, everyone helped each other out during the climb. Halfway through, we made a wrong move and thus had to backtrack to the correct route. By then, I was already drenched in perspiration and was panting non-stop, but still we made no stop and kept moving on.

FINALLY, we reached Paya beach and took photos there. Beautiful sunset we spotted. Walking barefooted in the cool shallow waters just feels great when you just had a good sweatout. Anyway, how long did we take to walk to Paya beach?? Think around 2hours, feeding mosquitoes on the way. So much for Ramly’s burgers, haha. But the burgers didn’t turn out to be that fantastic, but nobody really cares cos we need the carbo to walk the same route back to our apartments! And of all times it had to rain while we ate our dinner, hence stuck at Paya beach. Waited for a while for the rain to stop then walked back. One of the provision shop uncles was like telling us how dangerous it was to climb the hill after the rain cos it’d be very slippery. He even said there might be a mudslide or sth! OMGeeee after hearing that, i was really quite traumatised and thought of just spending the night at Paya beach. However, the guys kept assuring us that we would be fine. Why am i so easily convinced!? Oh man~ and yeah i gave way to proceed with our plan. 8 people, relying only on the moonlight and 2 torches, in fact most of the time we relied only on SH’s 1 torch cos Alfred didn’t want to turn his torch on. Slippery grounds, pitch darkness, scariness. We initially thought of holding the toggle rope to climb so as to ensure we move as a group, but this would make climbing more inconvenient cos the rope was too short and there wasn’t ample space between all of us to climb comfortably, thus gave up the idea.

Frankly speaking, it’s really worth the experience (just that we weren’t dressed appropriately for the climb, and someone’s gotta be blamed for not informing us beforehand! Tsk!) nonetheless, we would not have done it without the guys around and i don’t mind going for another climb next time we go Tioman again. =D

At night, we chilled in our resorts playing card games and attempted to htht (but failed), and thus we ended the night early.

Day 2

Second day and we went SNORKELLING, the highlight of the trip! Despite having a bad night’s sleep at the resort, we still managed to wake up early to snorkel. So proud of myself. Lol. Took the shuttle to main lobby and from there we walked to Sarang Seafood restaurant at Tekek for breakfast. I think the boss surely loved us cos we patronized the restaurant for like thrice throughout the trip!! Hahaha. After that, we booked a boat to bring us to various snorkelling venues: Marine Park, Soyak Island, Monkey Bay and Renggis Island. My very first snorkelling experience and i was damn excited about it. =D Initially, i thought wearing the snorkel was kind of uncomfortable cos we had to breathe in and out through our mouths, but soon got used to it =D The waters weren’t as clear as i’d expected though, the only disappointing part. Staying on the boat when it’s not moving seriously made me seasick, so the way to prevent that is to jump into the water immediately when the boat comes to a stop. Haha. Nice corals! And gosh i used to be scared of touching fishes but i cant believe i actually reached out my hands to attempt to touch them! Initial attempt to feed them with bread was abit panick, kind of got overwhelmed by the amount of fishes swimming towards you and the bread. But they’re perfectly harmless creatures, some of them looked really beautiful , some even come in rainbow colours! I like. =D At the second last station aka Monkey Bay, most of us got stung by jellyfishes! I was damn scared cos u cant see them in the waters and they just kept stinging you. And i thought jellyfishes are all poisonous, i thought we’re gonna die or sth. Tsk! Luckily these are non-poisonous...anyway we got up the boat quickly and proceeded to the last station.

The corals at the last station were the best. So many to look at, and we saw sea urchin! Omg~ i was so scared that i would touch them cos they were really close to us. And they cluttered together making it looked like there were ALOT OF SEA URCHINS UNDERNEATH. If only i had a water-resistant camera to take these beautiful scenes. One of the coral reefs look like a huge human brain. Lol. More fishes of different types we saw.

In the evening we just chilled in the resort htht-ing. As usual, shall not go into details here. =) Sorry that i did not join u guys to the waterfall. Waking at dawn at 4am to climb hill again is mission impossible for me, considering the fact i did not had a good night’s sleep the previous night, and was drained after a day of snorkelling. But kind of regret not able to see the waterfall. Oh well~ there’s always another chance =)

Day 3

Woke up to watch the sunrise, but apparently the sun had risen. Haha. Failed. Nonetheless, we took many beautiful photos around the island! Met SH and Nic at Sarang restaurant for breakfast , and after that, we rented bikes to cycle around the island. We only had time to do 1 activity thus returned to resort to pack our stuff before setting off to catch our ferry which we didn’t managed to catch eventually. Great. No choice, we had to wait for the next ferry, and we totally rotted at the jetty for quite some time with empty stomachs. Thanks to Nic who bought cookies to share. =) Long journey back home, we were so lucky that we managed to board the last bus at the terminal to Kota Tinggi. Otherwise we’ll have to spend the night at Mersing. Travelling on the bus back was especially uncomfortable cos it was raining so the windows had to be shut, making it stuffy. I took the outside seat and trying to sleep in it while the bus bumped up and down was really horrible. Settled our dinner at city square. Short getaway we had, filled with lotsa fun and first-experiences. The next Malaysian trip shall be Redang or Cameron Highlands =DD

mj exco bbq

So many things going on this week, lotsa changes so much so I hadn't had time to update everything. And up till now I've yet to dedicate an entry to my Tioman trip, hahaha, still drafting in process...

Had MJ exco bbq at Yongkai's house yesterday night. Apologies for not reaching early to help out cos on my side we were celebrating my Granddad's 83rd birthday! And since it was a stayover, doesn't matter what time I reach as long as I dont miss out the good stuff! =P His house was a freaking beautiful terrace! OMGG so envious. hahaha. Thanks alot for inviting us to your house. Appreciate lots, hope we did not disturb your family's sleep (cos apparently, we were cheering and laughing our heads off while watching a dance concert dvd Apple brought to show us and while playing Wii!) The dancers were all DOPE, really ALL OF THEM! Especially Choreo Cookies, no doubts about that. And playing Wii (and watching the rest playing Wii) was just soooo entertaining cos we looked super ultra noob shaking and swinging the remote controls. SO fun and i swear it was a good morning sweatout, playing Wii at like 6am in the morning. ahahhah. Tireds...

A great night htht-ing with exco, especially with good food and entertainment. Loved the cheese mushrooms! I din know we could have that for bbq. Awesome stuff you sure gotta try! And also the Cookies-and-cream ice cream topped with baileys (poured a little too much though). Shall not go into the details of the htht, everything shall stay within ourselves.

p.s. Thanks Apple for the awesome suggestion. I'm so gonna name my bakery 'SAO BAO Bakery'. LOL!

Thur MJ prac was an enjoyable and relaxing one cos we learnt a happy choreo. =DD Loved it and i was quite shocked when Janice babe told me that our instructor invited us to his free class at pa, reason being he 'noticed' that we can dance well during Thur's prac. OMGeeeeeeeeee~~ How awesome can this get? After like 1 year, he finally saw our existence. hahahaha. Perhaps we really did improved alot, thus noticing the potential in us. Thanks alot to all who helped pushed one another to constantly level up. And of course I know we shouldn't turn him down, hence am gonna make time to attend his sunday's class. I feel so motivated to improve now, especially when school's gonna reopen in a month's time and there'll be lotsa performances in school, especially the 1st week of the term. We're going all out to attract all potential junior dancers to join MJ, YES! Doesn't matter you have dance background or not, as long as you have the passion in hiphop,

OMG July's coming to an end! I'm left with less than 1.5 months of holidays. Dont know if this is a good or bad thing. Anyway, this means we're moving into the month of August. Each year I'll look forward to August cos apparently it means birthday is near! lol. but for some reason I just dont look forward to this year's August. Perhaps cos I'm turning 20... :( Sounds so old. Yucks! hahaha. And of all days, it has to fall on a sunday PLUS SCH OFFICIALLY STARTS THE VERY NEXT DAY! Great =.= yknow, now i just wish YOG can be postponed a week later, haha.

MJ exco committee 10/11, STARS course reg, Qiu's bday surprise

So many things are happening at the same time this week, i have lotsa things to say so i'm just gonna squeeze everything into this lengthy post.

First thing first, my first time attending a meeting that meant so much and more importantly, we discussed several issues that needs to be addressed by the new MJ exco committee 10/11. Speaking of that, yes I am the Treasurer for the new exco committee. Dont know when will be the actual handover but things gonna start rolling. So, we met at Marina Sq's foodcourt for an almost 3hr long meeting! And fyi this is just a "warm-up". As mentioned by our new president, MJ's gonna be a part of alot more major events in the coming year... we're so gonna have tonnes of things to do.

Treasurer, my 2nd choice. This is going to be a great deal for me cos I believe it's one of the toughest positions in the committee. I'm glad that they gave me this chance to prove my worth and more importantly, to do something for and be a part of a huge family. And thanks to Apple and Yongkai for the notebook and the message written in it. I know it's going to be a great challenge, to juggle between this and studies and other commitments, I hope this year's committee will be a superb one (and I believe it is) and let's all face the challenges ahead and push one another on! :DD

Next thing to do is to meet Serene and familiarise with the jobscope... plans for major changes are coming up. I sense a revolution, haha.

Of course, before we can deliver our jobs well, we have to stay strong as a committee and whether or not we can do it depends on the bonding among ourselves. If we cannot even stay strong, even the most feasible plan would fail cos no one's gonna listen to us, much less commit to it. Thus, we're gonna have a mj exco chalet at the end of the month~ lol. Suggested sleepover at someone's place so that can save money but apparently no one's house is big enough to accomodate all of us. Oh well.

Excited about all the changes coming up, and you know what? we're 'forced' to be a choreographer for once! omgomgomg. That's like soooo SHINGZ! lol. Can't find any other words to describe it. No experience in choreoing, worst still, we have to SHARE the choreo with fellow MJians. Ok I tried choreoing before for our ab112 marketing project, but that's like only 2 eights and I feel like dying already!

MJ aside. Registered for courses via STARS yesterday. Hella experience. Can't imagine we'll have to go through the same thing for every semester. but at least i got my cores settled, left with electives on pending list. Thanks to junhao for helping me add my ab213 core. ( I almost wanted to give up taking it for sem1, lol kidding)

Work's getting more and more mundane by the day. Feels like there's nothing more to learn. Meanwhile I'll just bear with it and earn easy money(not easy actually!) O.o and I have a feeling some people are just not doing their job, which makes things difficult for others, but I'm not in a position to say anything about it, right. Good luck to those staying on after the project is launched, whatever happens it's none of my concern anymore cos my contract would have ended by then. Currently I'm thinking of ending my contract 2 weeks earlier than the stipulated date so that I'll have ample rest before returning to school. (Wth, even my maid sleeps more than me nowadays) My maid's so cute she asked me,"u everyday sleep so late then wake up so early, not tired meh?" After working in Singapore for 5 years, not only does she speak English(to us), Malay and sometimes simple Mandarin (to my grandparents), she also learnt a fair bit of Singlish too! lol. Should I be even proud of that? zzzzz...

Shall backtrack abit, thanks Jas and Mw for coming down to clarke quay that day to see my flashmob performance. Really appreciate it cos the perf is sooo short! lol. Was really feeling very sick that day, had fever the day before the flashmob, and suay enough it had to rain in the evening! So we had to dance in the rain (sounds so fun huh, but it sucks seriously when you're ill). Thanks so much to Faliq for lending me his oversized cap so that the rain doesn't fall on me.

Planned a birthday surprise for Qiu last Friday. It was success + fail. LOL. Qiu, can you please dont be so paranoid next time? haha. We got her a mega huge tweety helium balloon but didn't get the cake prepared by the time she and Jenson reached Scape! AAHHH fail. LOL. but still, hope she enjoyed the surprise. When asked what she wants as present for birthday, she said MONEY! o.O Girl, I'll give you angbao on your wedding day k (but I doubt this is going to happen cos I think you'll get married earlier than me! lol.) Got a treat from birthday girl at Pastamania, not a norm for me though. Always enjoyed G-Force gathering, this time with Superman around. hahaha. Next up would be.... :)

Had my very first flashmob performance today with MJ and it was fun! We went three places - Boat Quay, outside Cineleisure and Clarke Quay~ So fun to dance on the street cos you would never dare to do that if you were alone, at least I wont, haha.

We met outside P.A. to collect our tee-shirts and had Carl's Jr for dinner. Quite like the tee-shirt design, luckily they had size S for me cos I pre-ordered size M initially. Otherwise I'd look like I'm wearing pyjamas~ lol.

I was so 'lucky' to be chosen to be the 10 people to give out brochures and cardholders after the performance at all 3 locations, great. And I realize among the 10 were mostly small-sized girls (Is it because they think we look more approachable or sth? Or we simply are good at giving out brochures?) Oh well anyways, some people are so funny, they reject free gifts. These brochures and cardholders are all free but some people just choose not to take.

Right, so our performance is changed to 25 June and 2 July! What the heck are they up to? Keep pushing the dates later.. Damn the organizer. Yes, you're the client, you're the boss, you call the shots, but please do spare a thought for us as well. U might think that it's the holidays now and thus postponing the dates shouldn't be much of a problem, but in fact a simple change can cause many problems to alot of people, many of us students are taking up temp jobs, internships, professional attachments, and many other commitments. We do not have the world of our time to commit to practices and performances anytime anywhere.

I'm just pissed that things did not turn out the way it should, and they did not bother to apologise or justify the changes made. Just $60 is so hard to earn.

Video on Raz's sharing session was uploaded. Thought it was a really meaningful choreo and as far as I know, he did this choreo based on his 3 major downtimes in his life. I wouldn't say I met very major downtimes for the past 19+ years of my life (probably that's why I may not have relate to the song that well), but I truly agree with him for one thing and I shall quote him for that.

OSIM! (Oh Shit It's Monday!)
It's a brand new week, woots~ Back to work again today. Kinda used to the work and everything, and am starting to get used to eating lunch alone, but I think I've found someone from another dept to eat lunch with! :DD

Because of work, I have to sacrifice my piano lessons for the month. :( So hard to coordinate with Ms Wong cos she's a real busy woman yo! omfg. She teaches piano 9am-9pm, 7 days a week! Now with a 5 days work week, I can only make it during the weekends and weekday evenings but apparently she cant squeeze out a one-hour slot for me from her packed schedule. Oh well, I guess I'll have to resume lessons in July then. It'll be hard for her and I to have 3 make-up lessons, considering we only had 1 lesson this month. O.o

FLASHMOB performance..

Friends, if you guys happen to pass by town area (ie. outside ION orchard, Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, outside Chijmes etc) coming wed and fri evening, 23Jun and 25Jun, do watch out for dancers on the streets!! We'll be moving to several locations in town to perform a short flashmob choreo (I dont know HOW we're going to dance in the crowd, but do catch us there if you're nearby, we'll make our actions as big as possible! hahaha!) :DD

p.s. some people are just so blind (due to their negligence) they make people's lives difficult.
p.p.s. some people are just plain thick-skinned i guess lightning cant pass through its skin.

It's monday again, and surprisingly, I didn't experience monday blues~~ haha.

Work's kind of manageable, but the working environment is rather dead, non-interactive, quiet! OMG, everyone's doing their own stuff cos it is the Project department. (I thought doing a project should be a more interactive job but apparently, the project is sooo large everyone seems to be doing their parts by themselves)
AND I think I'm the only temp staff in my dept, I am surrounded by managers of all sorts of positions! What!? And due to the nature of the job, the managers usually have different lunchtimes so I guess I'll have to eat lunch alone, AHHH I'M SO SADDD!

I seriously can't bring myself to attempt to socialize with the managers, kind of weird.
but anyways, I left once the clock struck six and I made my way to Somerset to meet Janice babe. (:

Yep, we went Eve's Beg Hiphop class @ O School, after saying it for a million times. (This is the first time I went *Scape - omg how noob can I get?) hahaha. Very nice place to chill though. Love the O School studios, it just looks so spacious and new you just feel like dancing in there.
Taught a choreo with the song 'Woohoo' by Christina Aguilera. So addictive to listen to that song.

Right, basically I have a date with MJ almost every single day for the week.
p.s. I am not complaining or whining or watsoever because this really helps me kill time since I am still unemployed, at least it adds some spice to my boring(ttm) life!!

Bored bored and bored.... Maybe I should spend my day at the swimming complex tomorrow. And I should totally go to a complex where there's almost no chance of me meeting someone I know.

I just realised 1 month of holidays has past since the end of exams. Can time fly any faster than that!? Gosh. Went for an interview at Changi Airport yesterday, my first time taking the train to the airport! but it was a freaking long journey to the east, cant imagine if i were to work there 5 days a week =.=
Oh well, hope the company shortlists me, I dont want to make a wasted trip. Need them to get back to me asap if not I really cannot plan my time well and because of this, many things are left unsettled and undecided. hmmm....

Watched Prince of Persia @ Vivo with bro and dad. I THOUGHT it would be nice, but it's kind of disappointing cos the story plot was so CLICHE. I was like sighing halfway through the movie cos the whole story was so expected. But bro and dad seems to enjoy it, oh well~
Coming up soon is Karate Kid, on 10 june. A must-watch for me cos I've always liked watching kungfu movies, haha. And cos the kid in the movie, Jaden Smith, looks so cute. Fyi, he is Will Smith's son, so he must be very talented in acting too!! So yup, definitely gonna catch it. (:

Feeling excited now cos most probably I might be able to get out of Singapore these holidays! Yes, plans to go overseas with buddies coming up... Still pending but more or less the dates are confirmed already.

Genting/KL trip with CTTS, i hope it works out this time! =D The previous time we planned to go quite a number of places but it all didnt worked out. Early july we shall go. Tight budget people!

Another trip would be to Tioman (also in Malaysia!). Never been to tioman before but kinda looking forward to seeing the beaches and all. Hope this works out too! Once again, tight budget of $300, nothing more than that!

Just let me get out of Singapore.

Yesterday was a HAPPY day. (:

Checked my results in the morning(finally), it wasn't as bad as I'd expected and am very satisfied with myself. At least the late nights of studying paid off. Hurray No. 1

After that, met Janice and Andrea at Pomo for dance open classes at Danzpeople. Flooded with people, we hardly had any space to move in the studios OMG.

Nevertheless, it was fun learning some really nice choreos. Wanted to try more genres but sadly, the other classes were filled up so fast it was already full by noon. Tried Dancing Diva (taught by Sheena), Girl's Hiphop (Lina), Intermediate Hiphop (Ash Ali aka Ahmad) and Advanced Beginner Hiphop (Alex Ow). Loved all of their choreos, especially Ahmad's! Hurray No. 2

I guess I have to learn things the hard way. I need to be triggered with something really bad that happened before I realized the urgency/importance of certain things. Oh well.

People say one of the toughest lessons in life is Understanding Yourself. I pretty much agree to that statement.

The next thing that is bugging me now is which specialisation to take from Year 2 onwards. I just dislike having to deal with dilemmas. A couple more days to decide...

Met up with G-force girls on Friday. We gave Wala Wala a miss due to the rain, so we went to eat at Shokudo @ Raffles City. Had a great time with the girls, as always!

Picnic cum Pre's birthday celebration at Marina Barrage on Thursday. It's been ages since I last had picnic. haha. We attempted to fly kite but apparently, the wind wasn't strong enough to fly the kite. (I still cant fly a kite for nuts, haha) By evening, we were surrounded by some irritating flies!! Eventually we had to move our stuff all the way to somewhere near the pump house. Birthday 'bash' was kind of a failure cos the birthday boy did not get drenched, poor jy. Had a great chillout time with peeps too (:

Give me something to do!!!! omg. It's not that I dont want to work but so far no company replied to any of the job application. nvm.

Suddenly thought of doing some hands-on activity, in the kitchen..... bake MUFFINS! :DD
Yep, I shall hunt for the ingredients I need to bake muffins at the supermarket tomorrow! I think I should get my own muffin trays instead of borrowing them from my godmother cos her home is seriously out of the way. And probably make a trip to the library to borrow some books. Need to get my brain cells working man!

Coming week I'll be meeting like 3 groups of people! omg. Excited much but hmmmm my purse seems to get "thinner" by the day.

My instinct couldn't get any stronger than that. Thought of someone while walking to grandma's house. Suddenly I'd this very strong feeling that this person would appear at her home. And true enough, he did visit my grandma, but it was in the late afternoon. I felt so shocked yet glad that I didn't meet him.
Some people are just soooo idiotic and annoying you just hope he'd disappear forever and you'd never ever see him again, but they simply choose to appear again after so many years, only to scare people's heads off.

What done cannot be undone, some things leave such deep imprints they simply cannot be forgotten and erased from one's mind even as time goes by. Please do not appear in front of me cos I dont know how to face you.

DONNIE YEN after watching Ip Man 2. hahhaha. Cant resist it, he's just too charismatic, too awesome.

Watched the movie at jusco @ JB at super cheap ticket rates. RM12 (S$5++) and fyi it's on a weekend. haha. What's best is that it's played in Cantonese and uncensored. Original! I like. :)

My cousin and I cant stop imitating him doing his pose after we left the theatre. LOL! Gee, bet we attracted alot of attention at the shopping centre. hahaha. =X

Dont ask me why I went to watch it. Wasn't my idea, but it was awesome!! Though more than half of the songs were in Cantonese, his vocals and dancing were pretty impressive! :DD

P.s. He is really really fit, considering he's already in his late 40s and yet able to dance and sing for 3 hours straight! Now i know why my dear cousin loves him so much. haha.

Love the 450degree revolving stage!! He is the first singer to perform on such a platform and fyi, it's recorded in the Guiness World Record. Impressive!

So today marks the end of this semester, in other words, marks the end of Year 1. Simply speaking, I am no longer a freshman. WOW~ I still find it quite amazing how time flies.

And now what's next??

.... Meet-ups with good old buddies. C'mon people, date me. hahaha.
.... Enjoy the 4 month long break, of course.
.... Probably get a job to kill time, otherwise, do some volunteering work!
.... Exercise! Swimming, jogging, cycling, table-tennis, badminton, roller-blading, DANCING... whatever it takes to burn off accumulated unnecessary fatty acids and glycerol etc. hahha.

Yet another semester is coming to an end. Yesterday was the last day of school for all of us, as Year 1 students. Well, we have been friends for 9 months already!! Sounds pretty long. but i still cant bear to leave everyone. Really. I mean all of us will be taking different specializations next year, which means we won't be able to attend all lectures and tutorials together anymore. Though we can STILL meet up for lunch or attend lectures for core modules, the feeling's not the same anymore. :( emo....

Ok perhaps this is not the time to think about such stuff now.

Well, we had a long 4 hour lunch break cos OB lecture started at 4.30pm yesterday. Had lunch at Ambush at JP with HiangLing, Jiayi, Meiqi, SherHern and Honyiong. Some restaurant serving European food located in the middle of nowhere. hahaha. Anyway, the pastas are just awesome!! We just chilled and had a loooooong nice chat.

but I'm so glad I dragged myself to jog in the evening with simin. Planned to jog at cck stadium initially, but there was this inter-school track and field national championship going on which occupied the whole track. SO, we had no choice but to jog at limbang park. The feeling's just great after a run.

I'm still quite amazed with myself! Just completed the freaking 20 page long marketing report in 2.5 days! ok to be exact, it's only 18 page long!! I just broke a new record of my own. Facing the com for the longest time ever. How 'great' can it get! So proud of myself now, hahaha.
but seriously, i wonder how some people manage to complete in like 6 hours!?!?

but anyways, time is seriously running out.

OMG this week is already the second last week before the sem is (unofficially) over! And after that it's intensive mugging time and in less than a month's time, I'LL BE FREEEEEEEEEEE!!!~ CLOSE TO 4 MONTHS BREAK AWAITS ME!~ I am so so so so super looking forward to it. Cant get any more desperate than that.

This week is a tough week, with lotsa tests and assignments and reports to do, but oh well, I'm glad it's Tue already. Just cleared Econs and Stats tests today. I hope Econs was ok (cos I did quite badly for the previous test!) AND AND AND I do believe the 'Stats God' exists! LOL! Sounds spastic but oh well~ We 'created' this imaginary figure/person/God/avatar whom we pray to, just to make us feel blessed during Stats quizzes/exam. =PP

OK 2 tests down, and I'm left with hmmmm... let's do a checklist.
- Stats case
- Marketing written report (Gosh! This is goin' to give me a real big headache!)
- Oral Assessment 2

Attended the last marketing lecture today (and last Econs lecture yesterday). Why cant we take modules without having to go through exams..?!?! Studying for exams is really a torture. I'd prefer they substitute exams with like 10 reports to do, 10% weightage each, and spread throughout the sem. At least our blood pressure levels don't build up as much towards the end of the sem.

OK shan't talk about sch stuff anymore.
Let's talk about what I'm gonna do after exams. Aint got any post exam plans yet. There's one tentative plan though, to eat XLB buffet!! HAHAH. Miss XLB ttm!!

Oh and I really feel like watching Show Luo's Concert on 22 May! but the tickets are selling real fast and there ain't good seats left! I hope they'll add an additional performance. ):

Yup, and I'm gonna find a part-time job. Haven't really thought of any particular job to do, definitely not admin/data entry/call centre jobs though. Perhaps...tuition?? but it needs quite abit of commitment. Shall think about it some other time.

And maybe, sign up for Girls Hip hop classes at O School! Anyone interested? =DD

OMG 1 year just flew past like that, seems like me and weijie just watched his concert not long ago but in fact it happened 1 year ago! This is really kinda freaking me out. And in less than 6 months time, I'll be hitting the big 2! Awesomezzzz cos it spells FREEDOM(i hope)!! Not that I have no freedom now (I'm glad that my mum puts alot of trust in me if not I wouldn't be able to enjoy the freedom I have now) but I want TOTAL FREEDOM! Perhaps sometimes I just give people the feeling that I'm not independent enough to take care of myself, thus my mum doesn't grant me total freedom. Sometimes I get so irritated when she rushes me home when I'm happily hanging outside with my friends, but I know she does so cos she's worried about me. oh well~ I'm so gonna change everyone's perception of me. hahaha.

I AM SOOOOO RELIEF JDC IS OVER!!!

I still can't believe it's over like that, really. Months of practices we had, just for that close to 4 minutes long performance!! but NO PAIN, NO GAIN. Really cherished this opportunity to perform hip hop(once again) on such a big stage
AND THIS IS OUR FIRST PERFORMANCE REPRESENTING MJ (for the juniors)!!! Am so GLAD we did it great!!

I was kinda feeling panicky before the performance cos my right knee was injured for several weeks just before the concert. OMG and I was so afraid my knee would give way cos we had to kneel quite a lot and the choreo itself basically requires alot of footwork. Though it's tough, it was a nice choreo THANKS TO OUR CHOREOGRAPHERS Tanaja-cutee, Ah Hong, and Stoofi :) Appreciate lots for your time and effort!

The songs are just stuck in my head! (considering the fact that we'd hear the song for over a zillion times, especially on the 2 rehearsal days at RP) hahaha.

Sometimes i wonder why do i have to make my life so busy, so stressed. things that i want to achieve, i don't question myself if i am able to cope, or even whether i'd be happier if i achieved them. been thinking through alot of things these few days... it sucks to be a perfectionist. Really, why people can accept imperfections in their life and yet live happily... i should learn how to enjoy life, and accept the imperfections that EVERYONE would have. Nothing is perfect and no one will ever be.

It was an advice from my piano teacher that triggered me to have such thoughts.
"It's good to pursue something which u really love doing, but when it's too much of a sacrifice to give in, u know it's time to let go"

Suffering from some serious moodswings... u know it's a periodic thing. SH*T
but yeah, Im ok now.

Because marketing project presentation was a breeze and Prof actually commented it was an excellent presentation!!

We came up with this idea called Smash! which is actually a restaurant where one can eat and dance at the same time, and apparently Prof loved the idea. =DD *Double applause*
AND Im glad that Prof saw our effort put in in videotaping our signature SmashOn dance moves! Sorry gals if u find the dance steps difficult, cos this is my first time choreographing a dance (though it's just a short 2-eights),
BUT I MUST SAY THAT WE ALL LOOK PERFECTLY FINE & IM SO PROUD OF ALL OF YOU! *Triple applause*

AND I simply LOVE the sample menus, facebook group page, advertisements and loyalty card!! All thanks to Hiang. =DD
I hope everyone will do well as this is an assessed presentation.
We looked super ultra professional with the blazers on. hahaha. Though i personally feel that it is abit exaggerating, we had to put them on since it was required of us to do so. Well~ but it was a good experience. My first time wearing a full formal attire for presentation. So fun. hahaha. Shall upload photos soon once i get them from Amanda.

Went to watch Impresario! on Saturday. I din expect the whole event to last that long!!! omg! It started at 7pm and ended at around 11pm! I think I only enjoyed the part when the guest performers came out to perform. Derrick Hoh, Tay Kewei & Ein Ein.
and the irritating part is that there were so many technical errors! Most contestants had to wait for such a long time for the stage technicians to get their guitars connected to the speakers. Even Kewei felt abit pissed when no one attended to her when she couldn't get her guitar to sound, but finally she did an impromptu performance with just Ein Ein on the keyboard. anyways, I still like Kewei as always! She's one singer whom I really really admire & I love her voice totally!!! It just sounds so pleasing to the ears. haha.

And of course Derrick's great too & as cute as ever!!

Great, recess week is over just like that! I didnt do much things throughout the week except dancing & rushing through assg and tutorials. Crap! Can i request for another week of recess break?? Oh man, having stats test tmr but I'm not prepared for it cos I'm here posting entry on my blog.
Went to teach piano today. First time being a piano relief teacher. Actually, it is kind of an easy job to be a piano teacher. Perhaps I can make this my part-time career when I graduate & when I finally get my Grd 8 cert!!

There's exactly 3 weeks left to JDC!!! OMGee~~

And we haven't had our first combined rehearsal yet, although I see advertisements already placed at various locations around the school. Many more practices to come, hope everything runs out smoothly on Monday, our first rehearsal at the Nanyang Audi together with other dance groups.

I've got this super ultra mega huge blue-black on both of my knees now O.o OMG, pity my knees...

I'm in a serious dilemma now! It's time to get new sneakers but I cant make up my mind which pair to buy! All of them looks sooo pretty!

All of them are so expensive! oh no~~ maybe i should search for better offers first :)

Yayness~ it's recess week! we're moving into the 2nd half of the semester. Right, sense the stressssss coming!

omg today is a super long tuesday!!! but i survived through the day!! 8hrs consecutive lessons, this is seriously draining on the brain especially when you stayed up late the previous night to study for econs test and help(abit) to complete stats case study report. A million thanks to Hiang for contributing the most to the report!! Econs test was pretty much easy, i hope. :)

4 hours of stats tutorial today cos we had to do makeup for CNY. SHIT, I'd ALWAYS get called to answer question! And i was lucky to answer an easy question about the report. hhaha. I'm NOT going to sit at the same spot again the next tutorial.

Looking forward to recess week... :)

Went house visiting for CNY with G-force gals and Wenjie on sun. Ate lotsa new year goodies!! omg so guilty now. hahha.Apparently, wenjie's mum didn't give us red packets so he came up with this brilliant idea of sending us online angbaos and cyberoranges(rotten ones though) O.o He totally zhuan dao lor, but nvm. At least he made an effort to give us a lift to Qiu's house and to the mrt stations. Thanks for the 'roller-coaster' ride btw! What a thrill! lol! XD

We watched Chingay at Qiu's house. This is the first time I actually watch the Chingay, usually I don't know how to appreciate it and I don't see the link between Chingay and CNY. Pohsin looks so cute on tv! hahaha. She's got the best camera shot seriously. Nice!! =D

Today's MJ sharing session was...horrific. lol. No choreo by Vernon, only did conditioning etc. I'm so gonna have muscle ache especially on my neck, arms and abs tmr, what a great cny!
Booo~ but overall it was still fun cos the feeling's just great to dance with DOPE people like everyone in MJ. hahaha.
Despite all that, there's more conditioning to do tmr... this time with Mw and Jas. Gonna go jogging tmr, an activity I haven't been doing since a million years ago. hahaha. Good luck to me, hope the jogging will soothe my muscle ache to some extent.
Lotsa work to do, hope I can clear most of them before cny cos there's more work waiting for us after cny. shit.

Yep, Uncle Roy and Auntie Millie departed from Singapore this morning to return to their native homeland - Perth. They should be back home by now, and perhaps already in their dreams at this hour. haha. If only they could stay a few more days, we can celebrate CNY together then. Awwww, we'll miss you. At most we'll fly bak kwa and mandarin oranges over for y'all!! LOL.

Weekends is coming to an end in a few hours time.... oh man~ I seriously dread MONDAYS, 6 hours of lessons back to back. Great.

Lotsa changes taking place recently... I've got a new piano yesterday and I LOVE IT! I decided to shift it to another position. Previously, my old piano was placed near the window and I was told it is bad to place it near the window as it'll collect dust and greater exposure to sunlight will spoil the inner parts of the piano. SO, I shall place the new piano to the other side of the room that's far away from the window. (:
Yeah, what's cool about the new piano is that it can be put into SILENT MODE! WOOTS~
Initially I wanted another model that has recording functions but just this alone will cost $3000++ more, so forget it! This is good enough cos I can practise it whenever I want to (:

Uncle Roy and Auntie Millie have been in Singapore for almost 2 weeks and I hardly had the time to accompany them till today. Well, they came over to my home with some of my relatives and friends and we prepared dinner for them as usual. (: It was a good evening spent with them, as always. Lots of chit-chatting and updating. Though they're an old couple, I hardly have communication barriers with them. We could talk about anything under the sun and it's always a joy to see them coming to Singapore almost every year to visit us looking so healthy and all. And Auntie Millie would always bring us presents for each one of us, awww that's so sweet of her! =D This time round they brought their great granddaughter Leah to Singapore as well, but she was only allowed to come for a week thus, she had to return to Perth with her grandparents first while the 2 of them tour in Singapore for another week. You see, most tourists wouldn't want to tour in Singapore for 2 weeks cos there's really nothing much one can do here, however, they come here on an annual basis just to visit us all these years and that's the reason why we're like a family. You see the point, it takes a day to form that friendship but it takes a whole lot of effort to build and maintain the friendship, most importantly, it has got to be built on by both parties. Definitely it is not easy to maintain such long-distance friendship for over 30 years...
All good things come to an end, they'll be leaving Singapore on Tuesday morning but sadly I can't send them off.
Thanks so much for being such wonderful hosts when we visited Perth last year, hope I'll be able to see them in Perth SOOONN~

Here I am back blogging!

Just gonna rant on some random stuff. Perhaps only Im the only one who knows what I'm talking about.
Some people are just starting to get so annoying that you wouldn't wish to have a conversation with. Or maybe not putting in the effort to entertain them when he/she initiates a conversation with you.

Maybe I should be more firm and ignore totally. I should give myself more time to focus on the bigger picture rather than the petty issues that surface every now and then.

Teach me how to be DISCIPLINED.
Time is of the essence, I need time for myself. No more distractions!

Nevertheless, some people are just such nice individuals that you wouldn't think you're wasting your precious time talking/socialising/joking/crapping with them and I'm REALLY GLAD I have a bunch of good friends beside me all the time. It's a joy to know you guys and campus life is never exciting without y'all!! :DD

THANKS for all the love and fun times we'd been through and I hope this doesn't end at Year1.

Yes half an hour to FRIDAYYYYYYYYY!!! Weekends are finally here! This is awesome cos I don't have to drag myself out of bed early in the morning for school!! Yepyep, gonna rot at home for the whole day tmr till evening. hahaha. After that is CONCERT TIME!! WOOTS~

Almost died from tonnes of OB readings yesterday! I tried my very best to speed-read my way through 2 long chapters but eventually it took me around the whole day to complete it! GG to the max. Now i know why the lecturer said one has to spend at least 9 hrs reading OB EACH WEEK! NICE! O.o

Today we had a new group member for OB!! Yay finally our group has 4 members! (N)EMO group is not at an disadvantage! hahaha. OK it's spastic to be named after such a cartoon character which Eileen perceived it as gay. hahaha. Thus, we thought of removing the 'N' and name ourselves as the EMO group. It sounds cooler this way~ hmm..

Went to watch Liang Wen Yin's performance @ LT1A in the evening. oh man the LT was super duper packed and many of them actually had to stand at the back of the LT cos there weren't enough seats to cater to everyone! Shouldn't have chosen the venue to host the event, should have booked LKCLT. but oh wells~ appreciated the effort by CAC to organise the event! :D
Needless to say, LWY's singing is superb i need not elaborate more. but it's just that personally i prefer Xu Jia Ying to her. =P

Hope CAC will invite Jam Hsiao to NTU to perform soon~

first day of sem 2

Woots!~ It's the first day of school!! Yep I'm back to school. Kind of dreading it yesterday night, but today was fine. In fact, I was feeling quite happy and all (for no particular reason) hahaha. Perhaps seeing familiar faces around...? :DD First lesson to start off the semester, we had Comm Funds. It was not as bad as I'd thought, but it's too early to say anything cos' it's only the FIRST seminar. Hmm... still a long way to go to the end of sem! hahaha. Sem2 just started and I'm already thinking of what to do during the long 3 mths break. Horrible me.

NO tutorials for the first week and this apparently speaks good news! Cos' it means we'd get to eat our breakfast-cum-lunch (aka brunch) during the tutorial slot. So the few of us went Can A to grab our food, though it's a little far, we didn't really mind walking a little further to avoid the yucky food at Can B. hahaha. Yep, first meal for the sem, Sweet and sour pork Mini Wok. Yummmyyyyyyy~~~

After that we made our routine visit to the place where no NBS or HSS student would never have been to, the FAL! Saw lots more familiar faces... printed Econs notes and next up it's lecture time!
I can tell u LT24 is a horrible place to conduct lectures!! OMG 2 words to describe, CRAMP and STUFFY!! Sometimes i just feel like scolding myself for not paying attention in lectures, but I just cant help dozing off during lectures, esp right after we had our lunch. Hmm... but anyway, Lecture 1 covered stuff that had been taught in JC so I shall forgive myself. hahaha.

Yep, having lessons from 0830-1830 is no joke, seriously. but since it's the first week, there'll be no tutorials tmr morning, yaynesss~~ Only 2 lectures in the afternoon.

Oh yeah, today is sis's birthday!! HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY, ZIQI!! :DD
Time to grow up and please throw away that stinky pillow of yours! Ewwww.... haha.

Happy new year to everyone!! It's 2010!
It's a whole new decade, new beginning, of course we need new resolutions!
Yesterday's countdown over at my relative's house brought me back to the time 10 years ago when we got so hoo-haa and all about the new millenium. and yes, 10 years have past. I was only 10 years old then. OMG. I remembered my cousins and I were so fascinated watching the fireworks and all the glittering festive decorations put up along the town. (kids get amazed easily, u know, hahaha)

Yepyep, reminiscing the past is good, but it's time to look ahead, into the future...

New resolutions for myself:
#1 Study real hard for next semester (cos I screwed up TOTALLY for this sem)
#2 DANCE & SING like i always do. hahaha
#3 Improve on my driving skills. Though I'd got my license last August, I still need someone to sit beside me while I drive, except driving to piano classes. hahaha =X
#4 Learn cooking. but I doubt I'll ever start learning by the end of this year. lol.
#5 Meet new people.
#6 Enjoy life like never before
#7 LIVE TO EAT (I'm such a pig, but I'm gonna announce this would be my lifelong slogan from now on)
#8 Get a bf?... hmm...
#9 Save up, seriously. No more splurging on clothes and shoes and bags! hahaha, like real.
#10 Tour around the world (but first of all, I gotta save up)

Woots~ It's a movie marathon week! hahaha. XDD Never felt so broke in my entire life. =X but I'm glad I caught all the movie I wanted to watch. Enjoy the holidays while we can cos' school's reopening in 2 weeks time! Ahhh, don't wish to think about it. The good times pass real fast.

Ninja Assassin is damn gross! and fake in some of the scenes. There was blood gushing out like fountains, swords flying around, heads being cut off, ew!!

Rating: 3/5

Oh well, watching this movie is a waste of time and money. zzz... It didn't turn out to be as nice as I'd expected. Dozed off a coupled of times while watching O.o

Fantastic! Watched it with Jy, Meiqi, Alvin and Honyiong. Interesting plot, ok I admit I'm a littleeeee biased on this, movies starring Nicholas Tse and Donnie Yen are always worth watching!!! LOL. Watch this if you're a fan of them. haha. Ohh btw, the bubble tea from Koi Cafe is awesome! lol. Though it's a little too expensive.

Mj camp and Oschool recital

Back from MJ camp!! woohoo i survived~~
2 days camp
7 dance instructors
14 hours of dancing ranging from LA hiphop, reggae, locking, popping to Lyrical hiphop.

The instructors were just AWESOME, really!! Most of them, or in fact all of them are from O School. =DD It was really worth the money, we paid $35 in total for everything, including the camp shirt! (I love the neon green designs!) I love LA hiphop & locking especially, but unfortunately they didn't manage to arrange an instructor to teach waacking cos I'd love to try that out too! XD

We were split into 5 different groups. Ok I don't know who came up with the idea, we were named after the 4 teletubbies AND the vacuum cleaner!! I bet alot of people don't know the vacuum cleaner actually has a name.... anyway, its name is called NOO-NOO and yes, I'm in this group!! lol.

This name sounds so uncool but come to think it in another way, we're unique (as compared to the other 4 groups) hahaha. YEAH we SUCK(just like a vacuum cleaner does)

I guess everyone enjoyed the camp as much as I did, not only during the dance sessions but during games session and the highlight of the camp ie, X'MAS PARTY! We had our very own MJ version of Don't Forget the Lyrics, performances from seniors and juniors, gift exchange and talent showcase!! I received a care bear from senior Apple! Cutey-cute. :D

We had this mini battle amongst groups where a representative from each grp had to imitate dance moves after watching several short videos clips and whoever danced most similar to the dancer in the video would win. hahaha. And of course, we sent the seniors on stage. The videos were super hilarious!! Raz totally rocked ttm. hahha. Everyone literally kowtowed to him when he danced. We should create a fanpage for him on FB man and I'll be the first to join the group. hahaha

Had lots of fun throughout the camp, though it was really physically and mentally torturing. Fyi, I'm still having muscle ache till today. BUT it was an eye-opener, suddenly I feel like going back to O School and sign up for more open classes or even enrol in a course. haha.

Still hadn't had enough of DANCE FEVER, MJ went to watch O School Recital @ RP yesterday. Of course, we were there not only just to watch concert but to give support to seniors Jacq & Yimin and junior Tiffy. I thought the performers were a little too many cos there were like 250++ dancers in total!! Choreographers also put up a performance together. They were just.... DOPE!!! LOL! U just gotta watch it yourself. =DD All of us were damn high, kept screaming and all. Patricia Mok and Nat Ho were there as well. Don't know who's idea was that again, we started cheering "Mo Xiao Ling, Wo Men Ai Ni!!!" O.o

And today, MJ is meeting up again to support another senior Vernon at Studio Wu. hahah. but pardon me for my laziness, I'll not be joining the rest. hahha. Jiayou Vernon!! =DD
